Why is one of my blackmoor gold fish lying about on the bottom of the tank?
How many goldfish do you have and how big is your tank? You are describing a fish with chronic constipation. Starve all of your fish for three days and when you resume feeding, feed your fish daphnia (found at all fish shops in the food section). Only feed your goldfish once a day ***every other day**** and only what the fish will eat in about 3-5 minutes. (Remove all uneaten food immediately to prevent it from fouling the water.) Continue feeding the daphnia for a week, then only use it once a week. Resume feeding your goldfish a regular staple pellet, flake or granules. Supplement the diet with brine shrimp, daphnia, mysis, krill, blanched veggies/greens and/or other treats at least once a week. Remember to remove all uneaten food!! You ask why “one” of your black moor is on the tank bottom which leads me to believe you have more than one. Fancy goldfish such as these need a bare minimum 10 gallons of water per fish.
