Why is OIL SUPPLEMENT considered most beneficial for “dry starts”?
A. Dry starts occur after the engine has been turned off for several hours. During this period, the oil tends to seep from the passages and dissipates from the cylinder walls, valve stems, camshaft, etc. When the engine is restarted, there is no lubrication until the oil is pumped back into circulation. This is considered the time when the highest amount of wear occurs in an engine. It can be virtually eliminated with the plating of Moly.
