Why is Obama responsible for what the governor of Illinois does?
He’s not responsible for what the governor does, and he’s also not getting all the criticism. All the news articles I’ve read and the stories I’ve seen have been about Blagojevich, with barely a mention of Obama (and only then in conjunction with the foul names Blagojevich called Obama because Obama wouldn’t offer him any bribes). I realize most of the people in the country have never heard of Blagojevich and this scandal is all brand-new shocking news to them. To people who live in Illinois, this is not new. It isn’t a surprise. Our governor has been under investigation for quite some time now (at least a couple of years), and he has been extremely unpopular here for a long time. I’m just a regular average citizen, and I knew something was going to happen with Blagojevich sooner or later. You can bet that Illinois politicians know a lot more about it than I know.
