Why is nylon rope used instead of stainless steel cable for the main anchor restraints?
For safety reasons. Visibility was a concern for children running or playing around the Opera Shades at dusk. The nylon ropes are just as strong, but they are much more visible in white and if someone should still accidentally walk into one, the chances of cutting yourself are virtually eliminated because the ropes are thick and flexible.
