Why is Nokia Maps sometimes downloading data for countries for which I already downloaded map data through the Map Loader?
Nokia Maps decides as the cases arise whether an online connection is established or not – for example, in case of a search or route planning. The application checks the available data on the device and then decides if additional or more up-to-date data might improve the search results. The transfer of data is indicated by a blinking symbol. However, you can prevent the establishment of an online connection through the Nokia Maps Settings menu. In this case, the application is tied up to using the map data already available on the device.
