Why is Net Nanny not blocking porn in image searches?
We block search engine image searches by maxing out their ‘safe search’ feature. We have no way of identifying whether or not the image is objectionable unless the image relates to an objectionable website. The word breast isn’t necessarily objectionable. It may be related to websites for ‘breast cancer’ or some sort of medical related content. Net Nanny does have a Filter Category for Image/Video Search that can be set to Block, so that these sites are not available.
