Why is NEB switching this restriction enzyme to NEBuffer 4?
A. Our main goal is to simplify the NEBuffer system so that the majority of restriction enzymes are compatible in a single buffer. We now supply 162 restriction enzymes with NEBuffer 4 including all the new High Fidelity (HF) restriction enzymes. Q. What do I do if Double Digest Finder suggests NEBuffer 4 but neither of my enymes has been supplied with this buffer? A. We expect that customers will continue to use their existing stocks of the above enzymes for some time to come however the Double Digest Finder web tool will give reaction conditions based on these enzymes being supplied with NEBuffer 4.
