Why is ND-YAG safe for Indian skin?
ND-YAG is a laser with a long wavelength of 1064nm. Indian skin type (type four and five) being darker a as good amount of melanin. Since ND-YAG has a long wavelength it is not absorbed to a great extent by the melanin in the skin. Hence the energy is not robbed by the skin the laser can penetrate deeper into the skin reach the hair follicle. This also avoids the damage to the skin. One can also increase the energy settings safely in this type of laser, which in turns increases the efficacy of the laser.
