Why is my USB hard drive not recognised through my front USB port?
Easy solution: plug it into the back. You can’t expect the front to work, even if its convenient, because the front usb ports actually don’t have enough power dedicated to them to power such a large USB device. This is why your computer constantly connects it and disconnects it. Most even have trouble with small flash drives. You can either buy a USB extension cable which brings the port from the back to the front or buy a different hard drive that has a power cable that plugs into the wall. The TweakUI thing is a fluke where it is mainly meant to solve a drive not showing because another drive has already been assigned the same drive letter. This is not the problem you are having now.
