Why is my six week puppy vomiting afther eating new food?
If you switch over a dog’s food too quickly, it upsets their stomach while they are trying to get used to it. I would give him his old food for 2-3 days until he’s better, then gradually start mixing in the new stuff, adding more each day, until he is switched completely over to the new food. That way, it isn’t such a big change to the puppy’s digestive system all at once. I tried this on my own puppy and it worked perfectly. EDIT: In contradiction to what pugbug said, you should not feed him chicken and rice. The food he was on before might have contained lamb, and switching from lamb to chicken will probably make his condition even worse. You can use beef and rice, because for some reason, the switch between either lamb and beef or chicken and beef does not seem to affect dogs negatively.
