If any site element &#8212 an image, for example &#8212 is being queried from outside the secure layer, the padlock icon will not be displayed in the user’s browser. To resolve this problem, make sure that all images and other site elements you want on the secure version of your Web site are being pulled from a secure folder located within the secure site.
