Since Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver have only recently been released the roms haven’t yet been perfected. You may want to try downloading a Japanese one with an english patch from ‘The Pirate Bay’ (www.thepiratebay.org) I have a working one that i downloaded from the pirate bay. It never freezes but it can crash if you play for about 30 minutes without saving, so save every 30 mins or so. Also, the save function can sometimes not work, so to be safe, save it 3 times in a row to ensure that your game has been saved.
