your babies should have been with their mom cat at least another three weeks. Many areas have laws banning the sale of puppies and kittens under the age of 8 weeks, and with good reason. Shame on whoever sold them to you! First, get rid of the clumping litter and replace it with clay. If they are eating the clumping litter, it will form clumps in their intestines, and may either kill them or cause an expensive surgery. I’d suggest using clay (or a safe alternative like World’s Best) until they are about 12 weeks old. Second, they need canned food now, not dry moistened with water (and yes, I know that is what the owner was feeding them – doesn’t make it good for them). Moistening dry food with water is creating a virtual bacterial soup for them. The cheaper dry foods are sprayed with fats, which very quickly become rancid when they are moistened. That can really wrek havoc with a baby’s system, and they are way too little to be getting diarhhea. Get yourself some of the kitten milk rep
