Why is my litter box trained cat not using her litter box?
It’s possible she doesn’t really even know it is outside – you didn’t mention how you moved the litter box – the proper way to do it is to move it a few inches to a foot a day until you get it where you want it. If you just took it from the bathroom and then moved it outside, it’s likely she won’t use it for a time, because she doesn’t recognize it as her box. And chances are, if she has been an outdoor kitty, this isn’t the first time she went in the yard – it’s just the first time you have seen it.
