Why is my Flatline™ Barrel breaking paintballs?
Burrs on barrel or adapter – If there are burrs in the barrel or adapter, this can create an edge where the paintball can catch and break inside the barrel. Velocity set too high – With the Flatline™ Barrel there is a distinctive curve inside that the ball travels through. If the velocity is set too high (over 300 PSI), then you are putting more stress on the ball, causing the ball to break easier. For premium flight, set your velocity at around 280 PSI. Weak or bad paintballs – Better paintballs will have the best results. Low grade, soft, old, or dimpled paintballs will have more problems getting through the barrel smoothly, and will break much easier. Dirty barrel – The barrel must be clean to shoot effectively. Any kind of paint shells, fragments or paint build up should be cleaned out to reduce breakage.
