When a domain name is not renewed, OpenSRS informs the Registry that the Registrant has requested that the domain name be deleted. At this point, the domain will be De-Tagged. The Registry will request confirmation from the Registrant before they release the domain name and make it available to others. The confirmation is part of the Registry’s policies. This process takes place between the Registrant and the Registry. It does not involve OpenSRS or its Resellers.
