Why is my cpk (creatine phosphokinase) so high and how can I fix this?

CPK is an enzyme that is released when muscle cells are damaged. While it could go up as a result of certain diseases, that would seem unlikely at your age. I would guess that the doctors did more than do a blood test and checked you for any obvious problems. Aside from that, you’re too young for most of the diseases that cause CPK. Also the CPK has presumably gone back to normal (<200) without use of any medication. A lot of exercise along with a pulled muscle will raise CPK so that's almost certainly what your problem is. Yes, you will be able to build muscle. If you do experience weakness or any other symptoms, be sure to go back to the doctor.
