Why is my candian accent so funny to americans that they cant stop teasing me bout it???
I’m so sorry that you have been teased. 🙁 I think people do not realize how many times you’ve already heard the jokes about accent before they said it yet again. My views on this are: First, some people don’t realize when to stop and they become very inconsiderate. Second, some people just plain have no manners! It’s kind of like the way we are taught, growing up, that pointing at people is rude or that laughing at people for their iniquities is rude. To stare is rude. Things like that. It’s a lack of manners. Those same people need to gain some maturity and also learn to feel a person out (so to speak) before jumping to making fun of someone. Some people don’t mind laughing or being laughed at for little quirky things they do and they don’t mind being stared at or watched because they have some sort of difference that others are not used to. On the flip side, of course, there’s those who are in your position who don’t see the humor in it all and certainly don’t appreciate the constan
