Why is my baby chicken loosing feathers and he is acting weird.?

Loosing down at that age is normal. This is so that the chick can grow in his feathers. All chicks grow in different so give him some time. As for the head between the legs, crouching, and shaking that is a problem and it sounds like there could be something wrong with him. First make sure that your temperature is right- Maybe he is cold. Your temp should be around 85 degrees. You should go down 5 degrees every week till you get to 75 degress. Second look for other signs of health issues- cloudy eyes, runny pop, mucus, sneezing these may help you find what is wrong with your bir. What to do to make it more comfortable for him- It may seem nice to keep him with the other chicks but it isn’t suggested. Sick chicks may not be contagious but they are weak and may catch something that is. Plus they will heal better if they are left out of the way of their playmates. While sick the other chicks will plow overtop of him and peck him. Keep his temp comfortable- Around 85 degree. Water- I sugge
