Why is music sometime a source of conflict between adults and teenagers?
Adults prefer their old easy listening music, unless they really know how to get along with their children. I find that my parents are quite hypocritical sometimes, whether it’s to do with music, behaviour, anything really. Everyone’s a critic. I, personally, find it annoying. Let’s not forget that most of our parents grew up in the same way: a new style of music and fashion emerges, creating different social groups eg goth, their parents hating it… It all seems to keep going in a cycle, just subtle changes are made each time. Like it’s now emo, chav, etc… It’s just a different way of seeing things too. Parents hate the music teenagers listen to now, we hate their music. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I guess.
