Why is Montreal now becoming known as the Gay Capital of Canada?
First we have the Gay Games and then the parade to rival that of Toronto. We have liberal rules to allow Gay marriages so that Gay tourists come here to get hitched. A section of Montreal is known as the Gay Village and they want to rename the subway stop Gay Village. Hello, the Gay population gets more publicity than the rest of Montreal’s citizens combined. It must be some facination with the media to portray something different as interesting. I am sure the average Gay person wants to be considered a normal part of society and not to parade their differences for the whole world to judge. There have always been Gay people in our society in or out of the closet, so why all the attention now. No prejudice is the best policy for any society and be proud of being a Canadian no matter what your designation.
