Why is Moneris charging HST instead of GST and/or PST?
The governments of British Columbia and Ontario have agreed to harmonise their respective provincial taxes with the federal sales tax to create a harmonised sale tax. The impact of this decision requires Moneris to comply with the rule changes and to apply the appropriate harmonised sales tax on the goods and services provided to merchants.
