Why is modern China not considered a philopgenitive counrty?
do you mean philoprogenitive? modern china is no more a philoprogenitive country for about less than 2 decades now, still I think the people maintain their philoprogenitive manner, but in much more subtle way than centuries ago, probably caused by the communist government established the one child one family law to prevent the population explosion, in mao zedong era, it was urged to people to love their country and the party more than the family, resulting a perspective that having children is helping the country, and create a culture of raising children strictly, now days as the law is not as strong as before, china people is no longer abdicate their lives to the government, since china is very much open these days, china people absorb so many foreign cultures, they become creole, which is a good thing IMO. yet individualism grows, if you see philoprogenitive is declining in outside world, it also happened in china as well.
