Why is mobility important?
Now that cross-border trade in services accounts for more than 22% of world trade, competition drives the need for equivalency in personnel services across national boundaries. In many cases, professional groups are taking the lead in developing multilateral agreements to facilitate the mobility of professionals in their profession. Often governmental and private agencies require documentation that the training and credentialing process are comparable.
