Why is Metro using range forecasts?
A range forecast allows for us to consider of a number of possible outcomes, rather than plan for only one future. Any forecast that predicts a specific number to be reached by a certain time is more than 99 percent likely to be wrong. By illustrating a reasonable range of possible population and employment totals, local communities can better adapt their policies and investments to meet changing demands and market conditions.
