Why is membership renewal available only once a year, in January?
Many people have asked why they cant simply join during any month of the year and have their membership dues amortized for the number of months remaining until January. While this seems sensible in general, it is too unwieldy a process for a lone, volunteer (Membership Chair) to manage. In an effort to promote new membership sign-ups and renewals for each January, we make a point of promoting all the members only workshops, tours, and other members benefits beginning in winter and continuing throughout the year.
