Why is Maximum Velocity not recommended for use during pregnancy or breast feeding?
This is a situation where we wish to err on the side of caution. While there is no specific evidence that any of the ingredients in Maximum Velocity will cause any problems in these settings, there is also no research for several of the ingredients that conclusively proves they are safe for consumption during pregnancy or breast feeding. An interesting exception is caffeine. It has long been presumed that caffeine can cause harm and should be avoided during pregnancy and breast feeding. However, some recent Scandinavian studies have shown that caffeine in amounts below 300 mg per day have no negative impact during pregnancy or breast feeding. This is more than even 2 full servings of Maximum Velocity would contain.
