Why is marijuana socially unacceptable when Alcohol is soo much worse for you, yet OK?
ALL of the drug laws in the United States were initiated as racial attacks. It started when opium was banned in California, as a method to “control” (aka harrass) the Chinese. Later, cocaine was banned as a measure to fight the “plague of cocaine-crazed black men raping white women all over the south.” Eventually marijuana was illegalized as a racial attack on blacks and Mexicans. I find it particularly hippocritical that our country federally subsidizes the liquor industry and throws even more billions of the taxpayers’ money away on a “war” on marijuana, when pot is SO CLEARLY more healthful and benevolent. If marijuana were legal, it would not be a “gateway drug” because people would no longer have to be exposed to a criminal element to obtain it. Pot is ONLY a gateway drug because people are forced to buy it in a market run by people who want nothing more than to get you hooked on anything possible just to milk you dry.
