Why is malcolm X such an important figure in black american history?
Because he fought for African-American civil rights with a militant attitude, while others like MLK fought back with speeches and peaco protests, he led a militant organisation called the Black Panthers (i think,) this was the only relatively successful militant organisation that fought for african american equality.
