There’s many reasons why Major League is like Police Academy. The first thing is that the ratings on the original movies that created the series are the same — “R”. There’s nudity, adult sexual encounters, and plenty of vulgarity within both of the movies that initially was designed to attract I supposed more adult audiences. However, I find that to be rather ironic because in reality, the gags on both of these movies are understandable by any child at least ten years old! The interaction between each of the characters, the jokes that they play on each other, and the characters themselves are similar. The baseball players on Major League are just as out of place as the police cadets on Police Academy, but yet, they both prevail in the end in an ending with a lot of suspense and laughter.
