Why is Lady Macbeth Responsible for King Duncans Death?
You’ve got to find the quotes yourself, since it’s your homework, and you should have a copy of the play handy. I’m going by memory of the play from years ago, so I can’t quote it anymore. And you should check the plot summary because I could be remembering it wrong (it’s been over 20 years!) Assuming you’ve read the play, you should know that Lady MacBeth was a direct accessory to King Duncan’s murder. She had cajoled MacBeth to murder the King. She drugged his servants and laid out the daggers for MacBeth to use. She even almost did the deed herself, since the sleeping King was at her mercy, but she couldn’t work herself up to it.
