Why is King Tut famous?
On November 4th 1922, British archaeologist Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun (King Tut) in The Valley of the Kings, Egypt. His tomb contained many things that gave us an insight of what life in Ancient Egypt once was. His tomb contained many things such as his chariot, his throne, his stillborn children and of course his Golden mask that was made of gold and semi precious stones. This mask protected his face from decay and has enabled scientists to create a face of what they believed he looked like.
