Why is John listed as “Deacon John” on the first Album?
When the first album was being worked on Roger and Freddie decided that it sounded much more interesting to switch John’s name around. Being new to the group, John didn’t feel comfortable protesting much, so his namei went on the album as Deacon John. By the second album, he put his foot down and went back to being John Deacon.
