Why is Jim wearing a cap that looks clean?
It’s new (March 2000). His tutor was so disgusted by the state of his old Billabong baseball cap (a truly decrepid piece of headgear – check it out in the Jim’s Hat section in the Crock-O-Shite) that he made him buy a new one and banned him from wearing it to tutorials. Instead of not wearing the offending article or not going to tutorials he bought a new one. It looks good, but it has already started to smell. The way the story came across when Jim told it, his tutor would rather see a new cap than Jim’s hair. A man of true learning and insight indeed.
