Why is Jim Henson famous?
Every Muppet fan knows that Jim Henson created the Muppets and Sesame Street. He also created Fraggle Rock, television specials such as The Christmas Toy (which inspired the Disney Channel’s The Secret Life of Toys) and Emmet Otter’s Jug Band Christmas (inspired by Russell Hoban’s book), fantasy movies The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth, experimental films including Time Piece, The Cube and Youth 68, and even lesser-known projects such as The Jim Henson Hour and the Land of Gorch segments from the early days of Saturday Night Live. Henson also did the voice of Kermit and Ernie in Sesame Street.
