Why is Jiang Zemin afraid of Falun Gong?
One reason is because he is superstitious. 1. A well-informed source disclosed that Jiang Zemin said, in private, that the Chinese Consulate in Yugoslavia was bombed by Falun Gong. He implied that the founder of Falun Gong did that by using supernormal power. Then what is the basis of making this statement? After the “April 25th” incident, Jiang Zemin believed that his position and political power were threatened and challenged. He made up his mind to eradicate Falun Gong. Unexpectedly, the Chinese Consulate in Yugoslavia was bombed, which forced him to defer the crackdown. Confused and restless, Jiang Zemin, privately, inferred a ridiculous belief that the founder of Falun Gong bombed the Chinese Consulate to disrupt his plan to crackdown on Falun Gong. Thus he was anxious to eradicate Falun Gong, which he considered a big threat to his political power. Such irrational thinking at the highest level of state caused severe consequences.
