Why is Jerusalem the “Holy Land” of all three monotheistic (Muslim, Christian, Jewish) religions?
In Islam, Jerusalem is considered the Holy Land because it is the lands of most of the prophets like Ibrahim, Issaq,Jacqop,John,Zakeria,David,Soloman,Moses,Jesues(peace be Upon them all.Also prophet Mohammed was flown by archangelJebriel to it and led all prophets in prayer in AL-Aqsa Mosque and then was ascented from the rock to heaven.Prophet Mohamed (PBUH). the story is mentioned in the Quran and prophet Mohammed stressed its holiness in many sayings and told us its the third holy mosque in Islam.
