Why is iWoorx Open Source?
Much of the significant progress on the web has been through the creation and use of Open Source software. Open Source offers many advantages for both developers and businesses over traditional proprietary software, like faster development and better security. We believe that software should be like a book. When you buy the book, you should be able to read your own copy. What are “Geek Notes” and “Geek Sheets” We provide some quick “Geek Notes” on each test drive so that you or your IT folks can get an idea of how we created the functionality for each test drive. “Geek Sheets” are more comprehensive guides about how we created a specific feature, targeted at moderate to advanced programmers familiar with the LAMP platform. We use Perl, PHP, and Javascript in almost all code. Some features also use MySQL, BerkeleyDB and Flash. Sign up here to have the Geek Sheets mailed to you when they are available.
