Ivy Tech is currently operating on SCT Plus which is an obsolete administrative system that stands to lose vendor support if not replaced. The current SCT Plus system was designed in the 1970’s and installed at Ivy Tech in 1986-87. The SCT Plus Applications (SIS, HRS and FRS) are not well integrated, depend heavily upon mainframe architecture, utilize outdated COBOL programming language, and use previous generation database systems. The new Banner system will provide the College with modern, user-friendly student, finance/accounting, human resource, and alumni/development systems.
