Why is it that when Queen Serenity of the Moon Kingdom use the Silver Crystal against the Ice Princess and Neherenia and didn die, but when she used it against the Metallia she was killed?
Good question. I think it is a matter of how much she used it’s power. When she used it against the Ice Princess and Neherenia, she used the power of the Silver Crystal to exile them or seal them away. When she used it against Metallia, she not only sealed Metallia away but she also used the crystal to transport everyone to the future. It’s possible that she used too much of its power and died. Remember that Sailor Moon too has died from using the Silver Crystal in the “Sailor Moon R” movie and also when she used it to defeat Queen Metallia/Beryl. The other possiblity is that it is an inconsistency in the storyline (and there are some). For instance, Sailor Moon died those times I mentioned before when she used the Silver Crystal but she didn’t die when she used it against the Ice Princess in the “Sailor Moon S” movie. That’s a major inconsistency in the storyline.
