You need to go to Preferences under Edit in the Navigator menubar. Click on Preferences, in the window that opens, click on the + sign next to Navigator. Then click on Applications. When you installed Windows Media Player, it set up a file type for .mp3 files. Scroll down the list until you see “MPEG audio” or “.mp3” and click on it. Then click edit. In the window that opens you will see buttons that will allow you to choose either Application or Save to disk. Check Save to disk. Below those will be a check box that says “Ask me before opening files of this type. Check that and every time you download a .mp3 file it will give you a choice whether to open (stream) the file, or save it to disk.
