Why is it that the so called party animals at work, sit like lambs over a martini?

Because they act like party animals to get attention! Basically, if someone has to TELL you they’re a party animal, they really aren’t!

Maybe you are misjudging the so-called party animals. I don’t talk too often about my personal life at work. I’m pretty outgoing, I like to glam it up all the time (I’m still professional), and I talk in a very plain-clothes kind of way. My co-workers totally think that I am a party girl. One even told me she had a dream about our upcoming holiday party wherein I drank way too much, and had way too much fun. I think most people act one way in their professional lives, and a different way in their private lives. They aren’t faking, or putting on, they’re just holding back a little bit. So, when you see them socially, you are seeing as aspect of their personality that is dormant at work. I act the same in my professional life as in my private life. I’m bubbly, outgoing, and funny. I don’t do it up more when I’m not at work. So, what passes as a somewhat wild-child personality at work, is pretty mild during a night out on the town.
