Why is it so hard for some people to accept the fact that animals besides humans have souls?
I think it is hard to accept precisely because it is not fact. Please provide evidence to support your claim that: 1) souls exist 2) humans have them 3) animals have them I have seen evidence that emotions stem from the brain, and not some fictitious soul. We have seen how lobotomies affect emotions.
I agree with you. You only need to be the owner of a loving dog to make you think…. I can look into the eyes of my dog and see his soul… (not the way Mr. Bush saw Mr. Putin’s soul…) humans have become too conceited in their own existance to entertain the idea of another living creature having feelings, much less a soul. Maybe this denial makes it easier to use, mistreat, abuse and discard animals without any remorse. Remember there was even a time when white people believed that blacks didn’t have a soul either and were less human than white people. So really, nothing surprises me about humans. I just hope we will never encounter any life forms in another planet that we can exploit because ‘it’ has no soul.
I just don’t see your logic in calling humans animals because man is superior to the animal species, and another thing we are souls not that we have within us a soul, even animals are souls….In Genesis 2:7; it says ” And God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and Adam became a living soul. And at Num 31:28 it speaks of animals as being souls, and also at Exodus 1:5 it says that all the souls that came out of Jacob were seventy souls. Just because other animals seem to care about other animals doesn’t prove that they have souls. I propose that you study with the right people and learn just what the Bible teaches. And no we don’t have a soul that leaves the body at death. Definition: In the Bible , “soul” is translated from the Hebrew,ne’phesh and the Greek psy-khe’. Bible usage shows the soul to be a person or an animal or the life that a person or animal enjoys…….To many persons, however, “soul” means the immaterial or sp
