Saying that in a way that is intended to offend you is not a mockery of the faith — it mocks you for being foolish, and it’s furthermore rude and anti-Communitarian. Please report it as abuse, and please out those who encourage it by listing their names. i will undertake to inveigh against any practice of rudeness here. For example, i often state here that Mormons are not Christians (because the being named “Jesus Christ” that they believe in is clearly a different being from the Being whom we Christians call “Jesus Christ” — and, in fact, Mormons are not even monotheists); but i try to do so in a way that is not intentionally offensive to the feelings of any Mormon and does not depreciate them as persons. (in fact, the only good argument i have ever found in favor of the LDS doctrines is the clearly above-average job that they do at turning out good, worthwhile people.)
