Why is it necessary to renovate the Place Ville Marie parking garage?
R. Place Ville Marie is now more than 40 years old. It was built in the early 60s, when little attention was given to waterproofing and drainage systems in parking garages. As have most other parking garages built during that period, the structure of the Place Ville Marie parking has deteriorated, mainly due to the effects of de-icing salts, which have corroded the reinforcing steel.
