Why is it necessary to register for workshops listed in Connecting Pathways, the guide to education for volunteers, three weeks in advance? Why can’t I just show up?
Training courses must meet minimum standards for registrations. There is great value in attending a workshop with several people who can share ideas and suggestions. Courses with fewer than the minimum number of registrants are cancelled. If you did not register, your name does not appear on a roster and we have no way to contact you if the course is cancelled. The deadline to register is set three weeks ahead to give the staff, the trainer and the participants enough time to plan for a successful workshop.
