Why is it inappropriate to show white and blue flag for french audience on sales brochure?
It depends on the brochure and what you are selling. As in most countries, the customers may think it is disparaging and disrespectful, to associate their national emblem with something trivial or commercial. This is something some customers or groups will think inappropriate especially because of the commercial aspect.
