Why is it important to update my address and phone number with Companion Animal Recovery?
If your animal is everl lost and picked up by someone, they can have most vet offices, shelters or animal control scan for a microchip, if there are no tags identifing the animal. When the animal is scanned and a microchip number comes up, it can be called into C.A.R and they can trace the owner through the information provided when the chip was registered.
