Why is it important to study ancient greek history ?
In ancient Greece a wide range of sciences were born such as history, politics, the art of speech, mathematics, physics, medicine, geometry, astronomy, etc. You can see that from the effection Greeks had during rennaisance and the french enlightment. Moreover, in ancient Greece took place several historical events which changed the history of the humanity. Apart from democracy, the wars against Persians were very important because if Greeks had lost in these battles the Persians would be able to conquer Europe. Generally it’s important to know ancient greek history just because it influenced a lot of intellectuals of the past and the present.
