Why is it important to motivate staff ?
You can not motivate an individual. That comes from within, but you can inspire people to become motivated. That said it is important to inspire your staff in order to get the greatest efficency and the greatest moral going. When people are happy in their jobs they work better, harder, and faster. Try to always notice the great work they are doing and offer them help if they are struggling with something. Give them ideas about better ways to perform their jobs and they will then see that you care and will like their job. I have worked for many people, before starting to work for myself. I found that if I was constantly being noticed for the good things that I did i seemed to want to have that praise more often so I would become more motivated in my job and its daily tasks. That is what I do with the people I work with now. Making sure that though they may see their faults that I am more apt to see their strengths. I also point out their potential.
